Close to the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashi Rivers is the farm of Machete. This remarkable rock art site is a fascinating mixture of unique paintings and images commonly found in the area. The rich archaeological heritage of the region includes the famous site of Mapungubwe, an Iron Age settlement where gold objects -including a rhinoceros -were found. Add to this the fact that the area is also very rich in wildlife and you have the ingredients for a superb experience.

This site is a 25m long rock shelter and has more than 190 rock painting.
